What shapes the cost of a Kenya safari?
Compare what the journey includes and how it operates. Accommodation, transport, access and time all contribute to the quotation; a headline amount cannot describe those arrangements on its own.
Season and accommodation
Travel dates, availability, the accommodation standard and room configuration affect the proposed arrangements. Family room needs should be discussed early rather than treated as a simple extra bed assumption.
Transport and the number of regions
A private vehicle, scheduled safari flights and separate transfers each form part of the journey. Adding a region can add a connection as well as an accommodation stay. Compare the full route rather than the number of safari nights alone.
Park and conservancy access
Check which reserves or conservancies are included for the stated programme. Accommodation location and access are separate questions; the itinerary and quotation should make both clear.
Length of stay and the coast
More nights, a coast extension and the final airport transfer change the overall journey. Consider complete experience days as well as the arrival and departure movements.

Keep optional items separate
Balloon safari and other optional experiences are separate from the base journey unless explicitly selected and quoted. Tips and guide-driver gratuities are excluded. Ask what an addition includes before comparing it with the base price.
