Kenya-based planning, with attention to the whole journey

A useful safari proposal begins with your dates, interests and travel pace. The right route for a first safari may differ from one built around photography, children or a honeymoon with coast time.

We consider the time between places as carefully as the places themselves. An arrival after a long flight needs a different plan from a rested morning departure. A transfer day should be described as a transfer day, with a realistic account of the experience time that remains.

Kenya’s regions offer different reasons to stay. Our approach is to choose complementary places and give each enough time, whether the journey centres on one wildlife area or connects several regions and the Indian Ocean.

Private arrangements need a precise description. An exclusive safari vehicle allows your party to discuss the pace, breaks and wildlife interests with the guide, within the day’s route and protected-area rules. Private transfers keep the ground movement organised around your booking.

Scheduled safari aircraft are shared unless a charter has been expressly arranged. Accommodation, airstrips and other facilities may also serve other travellers. We make those distinctions part of the plan rather than using “private” as a description of the entire landscape.

Location affects the day: which wildlife area you can access, the length of a drive, whether a room works for a family and how much coast time sits between transfers.

Our public descriptions explain the accommodation standard and location. Your dated quotation identifies the proposed property, room category, occupancy and meal arrangement. A property used during planning is not a promise of available inventory.

If an alternative is needed, it should preserve the agreed location and experience standard. A similar star rating alone is not enough to establish that the substitute fits the journey.

Wildlife is not scheduled. We do not promise a migration crossing, a particular animal or a clear Kilimanjaro view. The value of the safari comes from habitat, observation time, guiding and the experience of being there.

An optional activity should be described as optional, with its availability and conditions made clear. A cultural visit should be arranged respectfully, and a conservation claim should identify what is actually supported. We do not use a general label as a substitute for specific evidence.
